Guardians of the Galaxy: The weekend ... Checkout the first $ 94 million!

Two years were only a handful of fans ... This weekend is known, The Guardians of the Galaxy has won $ 94 million on U.S. soil! Estimate is on Monday evening confirmed with the final figures (96 million?). This is the biggest surprise of the year, the biggest hit of the summer. Overproduction of James Gunn only achieved the best start for August, crushing The Bourne Ultimatum (69.3 million).

Historically, the August Second blockbuster is a quiet month. But the rules of the fund is no longer valid if Marvel Studios film is involved! . Exceed The Winter Soldier (95 million), and even pay the luxury of The Amazing Spider-Man: The most recent example, the record in April, by Steve Rogers Guardians of the Galaxy fell to compete with Captain America is the fate of a hero ( 91600000) and X-Men: Days of Future Past (90.8 million).

Note that Transformers: The Age of Extinction retains the title of the best way to start the year ($ 100 million through small arrangements Paramount). But unlike Optimus Prime, Star-Lord can strive and slash $ 250 million for the stars. Guardians of the Galaxy are the kings of the summer. A totally unexpected success (in these proportions)!

The positioning of this album compared to the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is impressive: Avengers (207400000) Iron Man 3 (174 million), Iron Man 2 (128.1 million), Iron Man (98.6 million euros), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (95 million), Guardians of the Galaxy (94 million), Thor: The World of Darkness (85.7 million), Thor (65.7 million), Captain America: The First Avenger (65 , 1000000) and The Incredible Hulk (55.4 million).

Gamora and Drax the same level as Tony Stark ... Guardians of the Galaxy is the third best 'first episode' Marvel, behind Spider-Man and Iron Man!'s This amazing result, of course, because of the quality of the film but mainly by the disastrous U.S. box office summer. Worst summer since 2006, the worst month since July 2002 .... Delinquent season. These new colorful superheroes and therefore very timely, supported by an excellent promotional campaign.

$ 66.4 million (cumulative world: 160 400 000) to make International, the Guardians of the Galaxy, a very strong start in a limited number of markets. Head: Russia (13 million), the UK (10.8 million), Mexico (6.5 million), Brazil (5.4 million) and South Korea (4.7 million). Road to a complete picture of 650 million? Whatever the outcome, a new franchise is born!
